Joaquin de Monet

PRESIDENT / CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Joaquin de Monet is President and CEO of Arden Realty, Inc. a premier investor, operator and manager of office properties in the Western United States. A seasoned builder of growth businesses, Joaquin has significantly expanded Arden’s portfolio, transforming Arden from a formerly Southern California-based office REIT into a major West Coast player. In the course of his career as a growth leader, he has arranged and managed over $10 billion of investments.

Joaquin’s strategic leadership has guided his senior management team in developing Arden into a dynamic, value-add investor and trader with a highly successful strategic capital recycling program that included over $5 billion of real estate transactions in 15 months. During that time, Arden was the most active investment firm on the West Coast. Joaquin is currently developing an investment management platform that will offer Arden’s expertise to the institutional real estate community to co-invest in our core markets.

Arden currently owns and manages an expanding portfolio in excess of 16 million square feet in Southern and Northern California, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix. The firm has an innovative corporate culture with a high level of real estate expertise in operations, leasing, finance, investment management, acquisitions, dispositions, risk, research and sustainability. Arden is also highly regarded as a community-based company with an active volunteer program and a wide range of green initiatives.

Prior to Arden, Joaquin was based in Mexico, first as director of Corporate Accounts for Cushman and Wakefield and then as Managing Director of GE Real Estate’s Mexico Operations. During his tenure there, he successfully oversaw a major expansion from $750 million to $3.5 billion in assets by re-focusing the business from predominately structured debt to a fully diversified debt and equity platform, including the largest industrial real estate transaction in Latin America.

Before Mexico, he worked with Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in New York as a Loan Officer as part of their Real Estate Finance Business.

Joaquin is a California native, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a graduate of University of Southern California.




Robert Peddicord

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

For over 20 years, Robert Peddicord has been actively involved in the Southern California real estate market. He has been with Arden Realty, Inc. since 1996 and today, is responsible for every aspect of leasing, tenant retention, management and general operations for the company’s vast real estate portfolio. On May 2nd, 2006 GE Capital acquired Arden, and Mr. Peddicord was promoted from Executive Vice President of Leasing and Operations to Chief Operating Officer. He will serve as one of the key strategists behind Arden’s next phase as GE’s real estate growth platform in the Western United States.

Prior to Arden, Mr. Peddicord was Managing Director in the West Los Angeles office of Julien J. Studley, representing tenants and landlords in the leasing of office space. From 1984 to 1986, he served as branch Vice-president for Great Western Financial Corporation.

Mr. Peddicord received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.




Kevin Early

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Early joined Arden Realty in October of 2006, in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he will help support the business’ ambitious plans for growth in the Western United States.

Prior to joining Arden, Mr. Early served in a variety of financial roles with GE Commercial Finance. Most recently, he was the Financial Operations Leader for the UK GE Real Estate business based in London, where he was responsible for managing and integrating the financial operations team.

Mr. Early graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.




Michael Lynch

CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

Michael Lynch is an integral part of Arden’s senior management team that is growing Arden’s presence in major markets throughout the West Coast. His track record spans over 25 years of in commercial real estate as a key strategist in investments, dispositions, joint ventures and development for national real estate firms.

Prior to Arden, Michael was Senior Vice President – Investments for Equity Office Properties where he served as an integral part of the investment group leadership team and was responsible for the company’s Western U.S. investment activity. In that role, Michael acquired $2 billion in office buildings, sold $1.1 billion and negotiated Equity’s first syndication for a $.5 billion asset aimed at providing an alternative capital source.

Prior to Equity Office, Michael was a director at PS Business Parks a publicly traded, full service real estate company where he oversaw the firm’s investments. He has also worked for East Coast-based Nottingham Properties and The Parkway Companies as a real estate developer.





David Swartz

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT / GENERAL COUNSEL AND SECRETARY

Mr. Swartz has served as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since August 1999. From May 1998 to August 1999, Mr. Swartz served as our Associate General Counsel. From September 1991, until his employment with us, Mr. Swartz was a real estate attorney with the law firm of Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory, LLP, where he managed and negotiated commercial real estate transactions, handled litigation for major institutional clients and served as legal advisor to property owners, building and asset managers, real estate brokers and tenants.

A graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Mr. Swartz received his Juris Doctor Degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1991.




Don Watts

CHIEF RISK OFFICER

As Arden’s Chief Risk Officer, Don Watts is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for managing the underwriting group at Arden Realty, overseeing both acquisition and disposition processes and ensuring that Arden meets its investment parameters. Most recently Don was a chief navigator of Arden’s $2.1 billion purchase of 5.9 million square feet in six major markets on the West Coast.

Prior to Arden, Don Watts dedicated 9 years as a Risk Manager for West Territory within GE Real Estate’s North America Debt group, based in Irvine, California. In that time period Don completed over 180 loans for an aggregate total of $8.3 billion. He was responsible for overseeing the underwriting, obtaining approval and closing all structured debt transactions for properties located west of the Mississippi River.

Prior to joining GE Real Estate in 1997, Mr. Watts managed troubled real estate loans for Citicorp and managed the Los Angeles real estate office for Wells Fargo Bank.

Mr. Watts graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Philadelphia in 1976 with a BS in Finance and was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda, which is a National Honor Society.




Deanna Schmitt

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION

As First Vice President of Human Resources and Administration, Deanna Schmitt oversees all aspects of Arden’s employee relations, performance management, staffing, compensation & benefits, and organizational development. Deanna and her team are also responsible for Arden University – an internal training and employee development division that supports commercial excellence and best practices programs for all Arden employees.

An eight-year GE team member, she has worked primarily in Human Resources including two years as HR Manager at GE Corporate in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Deanna is a graduate of the University of Iowa and received a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.

Robert C. Accomando, PE

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / ASSET MANAGEMENT

Bob Accomando has over 40 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, and has served most of that time in executive property management positions.

During his career, Bob has assisted in the development of many office buildings, bringing to market over 20 million square feet of commercial space throughout the United States, including Arco Plaza in downtown Los Angeles.

As First Vice President of Asset Operations, Mr. Accomando oversees the Engineering and Operating departments for all of Arden Realty’s assets. Since joining Arden in 1998, he has been involved with a wide range of energy efficiency projects, including 120 lighting retrofit projects, 28 EMS replacements, and 24 HVAC re-designs. He also managed Arden’s Energy Star Program, resulting in 107 Energy Star Building designations. Arden was the EPA’s Commercial Partner of the Year for three straight years, 2000, 2001, and 2002. These programs were also responsible for reducing operating expenses in Arden’s 18.5 million square foot portfolio by approximately $0.32 per square foot.

Mr. Accomando is the founder of Building Engineering Management Company (BEMCO), which became ABM Engineering Services. Bob is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), and a licensed General Contractor.




Iris Almaraz

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / ACCOUNTING

For over eleven years, Iris Almaraz has played a major role in all aspects of financial reporting including SEC reporting, compliance, lease administration and budgeting and forecasting activities. Currently, Ms. Almaraz manages Arden’s operational finance and accounting processes.

Prior to Arden, Ms. Almaraz was a Senior Auditor with Ernst & Young in its real estate division. As an auditor, she was an integral member of the team that completed Arden’s initial public offering.

Ms. Almaraz received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.




Robin Aungst

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / LEASE ANALYSIS

First Vice President Robin Aungst joined Arden Realty Inc. in August 2001 to oversee the lease administration and escalation function in the Accounting Department. Since that time, she has provided strategic guidance in the implementation of quality control review procedures, training applications and general process oversight. Ms. Aungst is also the key liaison between Finance and Operations concerning lease provisions and analysis and provides lease calculation guidance to Arden's tenant base.

Prior to joining Arden, Ms. Aungst was Manager of Deloitte & Touche, LLP's Lease Consulting Practice for the Pacific Southwest region. During her tenure at Deloitte & Touche, Ms. Aungst directed several lease consulting disciplines including due diligence, lease abstraction and benchmarking. She has also served as a property manager for various California, Colorado and New York based real estate companies.

Ms. Aungst received her bachelor's degree in Accounting from California State University and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Institute of Certified Public Accountants.




Noel Clark

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Mr. Clark joined Arden Realty in June 1997 and is currently its First Vice President and Chief Information Officer and is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. Mr. Clark directs the planning and implementation of Arden’s IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. Prior to joining Arden Realty, Mr. Clark was the California Region Information Systems Manager for Trizec Properties and an Application Analyst for Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Clark graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Computer Science Degree in 1986.




Eric P. Hasserjian

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / LA NORTH

Mr. Hasserjian has spent the last 18 years in the commercial real estate industry. He joined Arden in 1998, initially overseeing Arden’s West Los Angeles and South Bay properties as well as serving as a team member on the company’s successful renovation and repositioning of Westwood Center. Today, as First Vice President of Arden Realty, Los Angeles Region, Mr. Hasserjian oversees the leasing and operations of approximately 4.2 million square feet comprised of 28 projects and 35 buildings as well as currently overseeing the Northern California Portfolio consisting of 1.7 million sq. ft.

Mr. Hasserjian is a graduate of the University of San Francisco. He is the former Chairman of the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Association and is currently an active member.




Molly Hobin

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / MARKETING

Ms. Hobin has over 22 years experience in the Southern California office market. Working with Arden’s network of in-house brokers and regional managers, as well as the Southern California brokerage community at large, Ms. Hobin is responsible for implementing marketing plans to lease Arden’s 16.2 million square foot portfolio. Prior to joining Arden, Ms. Hobin spent 12 years as Vice President at Grubb and Ellis, specializing in representing landlords and tenants in the West Los Angeles market.

Ms. Hobin has served as Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Association (LACRA), a Vice President of Corenet Southern California and is currently a member of the Board of the Directors for the Ziman School of Real Estate at the Anderson School at UCLA, and is a founding member and past president of the UCLA Real Estate Alumni Association.

Ms. Hobin received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.




Marc T. Jones

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / ORANGE COUNTY REGION

As First Vice President of Arden’s Orange County region, Mr. Jones oversees approximately 3.6 million square feet of office space, including 21 properties comprised of 54 buildings. He is responsible for every aspect of leasing and operations in Arden’s Orange County portfolio as well as currently overseeing the Phoenix portfolio consisting of 500,00 Sq. Ft.

Prior to joining Arden in 1999, Mr. Jones served as Senior Leasing Manager for Maguire Partners where he was responsible for leasing and marketing of the company’s 6.5 million square foot office portfolio. Mr. Jones was also a leasing manager at Julien J. Studley where he consulted directly with clients in facility evaluation and developed leasing and disposition strategies for corporate real estate divisions of major companies.

Mr. Jones holds a BS in Business Management from University of Oregon.




Paul King

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / SAN DIEGO REGION

Mr. King oversees leasing and operations for Arden’s entire San Diego portfolio, comprised of approximately 2.6 million square feet including 22 office properties & 43 buildings office buildings throughout the region as well as currently overseeing Arden’s Pacific Northwest region consisting of 2.5 million sq. ft.

Since 1997, Mr. King has been actively involved in the management of the company’s operations for Arden Realty’s 19 million square feet, including oversight of the company’s Tenant Improvement Division, Parking Operations Department, Telecom Department, Space Accounting Group, and other disciplines.

Mr. King holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA and completed a year of graduate degree work in the Construction Management Program at Cal State Long Beach. He is a licensed General Contractor in the state of California and a member of the Association of General Contractors. Mr. King has served on the Board of Trustees for the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House for the last seven years, is a member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Chapter of the NAIOP, and serves as a mentor for the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.




Brooke Lauter

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

For over 20 years, Ms. Lauter has specialized exclusively in commercial and residential real estate marketing and communications in the United States and overseas. Since 2000, she has served as First Vice President of Corporate Communications for Arden Realty, Inc. driving a full spectrum of corporate marketing strategies, including internal and external communications, branding, advertising, media and public relations, tenant outreach, and public affairs.

Ms. Lauter majored in English at New York University and has served on several boards, most recently on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Business Council and on the board of the LA Economic Development Council.




Scott Lyle

FIRST VICE PRESIDENT / OPERATIONS

Mr. Lyle oversees next>edge, Arden Realty’s tactical operations team. Prior to his current position, Mr. Lyle was President and CEO of next>edge, previously a subsidiary of Arden, and at the time, a fully integrated turnkey provider of energy efficiency and power generation solutions for other owners and operators of commercial facilities.

Prior to his position with next>edge, Mr. Lyle was Vice President of Telecommunications and Technology Services for Arden Realty. As one of the pioneers of telecommunication applications for the real estate industry, he was responsible for Arden’s significant broadband initiative in which high-speed telecommunications facilities were implemented in over 250 office buildings.

Mr. Lyle is a previous member of the Real Estate Roundtable, participating in its Technology Task Force, and a key member involved in working with the FCC on developing telecommunications access standards for the real estate industry. Mr. Lyle is currently an Executive Board Member of the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) where he is also Chairman of the Energy and Resources Committee.




Craig Pierson

VICE PRESIDENT / DISPOSITIONS

Mr. Pierson has served in a number of positions during his tenure at Arden. Currently, as our Vice President of Dispositions, and prior to that, Craig served as Vice President of Operations, Assistant Vice President of Tenant Improvements, Senior Tenant Improvements Project Manager for Orange County, and Tenant Improvement Project Manager for San Diego. Mr. Pierson also served as our Integration Team Leader facilitating the integration of Arden Realty and General Electric from December 2005 to November 2006. Previously to his employment with us, Mr. Pierson worked for Birtcher Real Estate Group as a Facility Manager. Mr. Pierson was in business with his Father for twenty years where he manager the day-to day operations of a small contracting firm who’s primary focus was the re-model of large big box retail.

Mr. Pierson has a B California General Contractor License, C6 California Cabinet and Millwork License, and a C15 California Flooring License. He has a BOMA Real Property Accreditation and Facility Management Accreditation. Mr. Pierson is also working to complete his degree in Construction Management at DePaul University.
